NGO SED (Support Organization for Destitute Children in Niger).
Since the 1990s, the begging of small children affecting the big cities of Niger has known dynamic increases, the most common manifestations of which are begging for money or food from door to door of houses or even begging for leftover food. by customers in restaurants, sometimes other individuals feel obliged to leave food for these beggar children who stare at them with a look of pity …etc. These children are provided with bowls connected to their hands and circulating all the nooks and crannies of the city in search of meals or other offerings, without worrying about any perils and / or dangers of the roads while crossing the great ways.
There are many young boys aged 4 to 15 or even older wandering the streets and other public places, exposing themselves to all dangers and spending their time begging.
Called "Talibés" in the vernacular, they are present in several towns and villages in Niger. This phenomenon of child begging is becoming more and more widespread. These children, living far from their parents, are in a state of absolute lack, both educationally, nutritionally, in terms of clothing and hygiene. Despite all this, the phenomenon is growing and we meet more and more beggars and poor children in the cities of Niger. This situation raises questions about what allows this phenomenon to persist in Niger and its impact on the development of the country.

​ General Objective of the NGO SED
The general objective of our mission is to explore the towns and villages where these destitute children are for meet the authorities of the city and or village, the parents of these children or the teachers and / or guardians of these children to implement one of the alternatives among many others to reduce the rate of begging and abuse of these children in Niger.
We are looking for financial support, material support, partners, collaborators, and members of the organization to fight against this scourge.
